UMC.org describes the Church Council as:
The church council plans and implements the programs and ministry of the local church as well as oversees the administration of the church. The church council is amenable to the charge conference.

Together the leadership of each committee in the church plans, implements, and leads the Little River UMC congregation in following God’s will for our part of the body of Christ.

The Church Council is a place to CONNECT the body of Christ with one another and our greater community. Additionally, the Church Council serves as a representation of the ministry and mission completed by the entirety of the church congregation.
